25 March 2020

Due to the unfolding COVID-19 situation, cars and vans and motorcycles due their MOT from 30 March 2020 will have their MOT extended by 6 months.

This will continue until confirmed otherwise.

This will allow vehicle owners to continue to be able to get to work where this absolutely cannot be done from home or do essential shopping.

Vehicles must be kept in a roadworthy condition and drivers can be prosecuted if they drive an unsafe vehicle.

Guidance for MOT garages

The government has extended the requirement for certain businesses to close, but garages are allowed to stay open.

This is to make sure that essential vehicle maintenance and repair to keep vehicles, goods and key workers moving and safe can continue.

23 March 2020

With effect from today and the new government guidelines we endeavour to stay open until we are advised otherwise.

For the safety of our staff and customers we will only allow one customer into the office at one time.

I can confirm that we are taking all the necessary precautions to reduce the spread of the virus for the vehicle and the handover procedure. Our operatives will wear gloves and will be washing hands as per the government guidelines.

Please do not attend the garage if you show any signs of the virus or feel unwell.

We will continue to follow the advice from the Government and the World Health Organisations.

Office hours maybe subject to change at this time.

The team would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your co-operation at such challenging times, but we take everyone’s health seriously.
